Wow, 2 postings in 2 days. I created a couple of search plugins for Firefox (right click and “save link as”/”save target as” to download).
- uofc.xml – will search the University of Calgary
- uofc_dir.xml – will search the University of Calgary Directory based on the criteria Fullname and Contains
To install these plugins you will need to:
Copy these files to your C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\[gibberish numbers and letters].default\searchplugins\.
They are not perfect, but it works. uofc.xml uses word suggestions from google, not from U of C. uofc_dir.xml uses URL TYPE=text/html instead of the application/x-www-form-urlencoded listed in the original HTML page. If anybody can fix this, please let me know – Thanks.
